Chicago Design Archive Film Screening

Chicago Design Archive Film Screening announcement for September 14th, 2024, at NEIU El Centro. Films: "Graphic Means" with director Briar Levit and "The New Bauhaus" with producer Ashley Lukasik. Black, red, and light blue color scheme with stars.

The Chicago Design Archive hosted our inaugural film screening event at Northeastern Illinois University's  El Centro. The screening featured two acclaimed documentaries: Graphic Means and The New Bauhaus, shown simultaneously and back-to-back. Attendees explored the evolution of design—from the pre-digital era of graphic production, and the work of László Moholy-Nagy in Chicago’s design history.

After the screenings, guest filmmakers Briar Levit (Graphic Means) and Ashley Lukasik (The New Bauhaus) joined for a moderated panel discussion, offering behind-the-scenes insights and engaging directly with the audience.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this celebration of design on the silver screen!
