Robert Petrick

Robert Petrick began his design career at age 10 when he entered the logo design contest for his hometown team, The Cleveland Browns. Having suffered rejection, he quickly learned to love the business. He graduated from The University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture and Art in 1978. Through the mid-1980s, he worked as designer, art director, copywriter and creative director. In 1986, Robert formed the office of Petrick Design in Chicago. After 19 years in business, the focus of the firm remains on thoughtful, intelligent work with a sense of wit whenever possible. This philosophy is most often applied to annual reports, corporate identity and paper promotions. Petrick has been responsible for renovating brands such as Beckett Papers in 1998, Consolidated Paper in 2000, and currently, Domtar Papers. Petrick Design is recognized globally for their work and locally for their Great Dane.
