A partner and design director at Span, John specializes in intermedia, merging brand, interactivity, sound, motion, and environments. He was named one of Newcity Magazine's Design 50 in 2022 and featured in Communication Arts' "New Currents in Chicago Design" in 2016. In 2007, Print Magazine recognized him as one of their "New Visual Artists: 20 under 30." John has received accolades from the Type Directors Club, Society of Typographic Arts, AIGA, and more.

Formerly a designer and partner at Thirst from 2003 to 2019, his work is featured in esteemed institutions like the Art Institute of Chicago and Letterform Archive. John is a sought-after speaker and has exhibited his intermedia art at prestigious venues.

With a BFA in Visual Communication and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Northern Illinois University, John resides in the Chicago area with his family, maintaining a steadfast commitment to the design world.
