John Carafoli was marked as a high-energy person with a flair for the artistic and a special knack for bringing creativity to the business world. In 1960 he graduated from The School of the Museum of Fine Art in Boston and began his first job as a designer with the University of Chicago Press. Since then he has held various jobs in advertising, editorial art, packaging, graphic design, and magazine art direction, as well as the fine art field.
