James Higa is a native of Hawaii who came to Chicago in 1949 to study at the Institute of Design and has been here ever since. He worked for a time in the design department of Container Corporation, now has his own office in Evanston where he illustrates books, makes paper constructions and has developed his new art form, "Krimpart 8".
