David Burke, began communication career as copywriter, San Francisco. Two years later opened design office. Self employed since. 1964 settled Chicago area. Built medium size design office. 1972 moved to tree farm Washington Island, WI. Returned Chicago 1976. Received over 175 national, international design awards. Sixteen trademarks included in "The Top Symbols and Trademarks of the World." Designed typefaces Burko Bold and Right On. Past member Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art Board; AIGA Chicago; STA.
